Congratulations to your work!

We hope we can also work together with you for the rehabilitation of Ipo Watershed.

To know more about Ipo, please go here:

Water in the La Mesa Water Reservoir comes from Angat and Ipo Watersheds.

Among the chain of watersheds (Angat - Ipo - La Mesa), Ipo Watershed is the weakest link.

If the water in Ipo Dam is heavily silted, the water that will be stored in La Mesa Dam will laregely suffer

Illegal logging videos from our visit last August 2-3, 2008 :

Angat Ipo La Mesa

La Mesa Watershed has 85% forest cover and is improving while Ipo has only 30% forest cover left!

Twelve percent of Metro Manila's water supply comes from Ipo Watershed or the Angat (Pilot) Watershed Forest Reserve while only 4% comes from La Mesa Watershed.

La mesa Watershed has a total land area of about 2,700 hectares while Ipo Watershed has 6,600 hectares. Ipo Watershed has denuded areas comparable to the size of the entire La Mesa Watershed!

We hope that IPO DAM WATERSHED can also be protected and rehabilitated just like the smaller La Mesa Watershed.

Hi LIFE!

hahaha. our school (DLSU-D) committed 15,000 trees this 2008. i hope we can plant all those trees!

hehe :) we already had a mangrove tree planting last May 14 in Calatagan, Batangas together with Araneta, Lipa and HSI.

Last May 31, our organization (College of Science Student Council and Program Councils) also planted pine trees in Balite Falls, Amadeo, Cavite..

Wooh..We still have a long way to go. :)
